Building Digital Confidence Together: Two Days of Learning, Collaboration, and Connection at Prodea

This belief came to life during our recent two-day educational event, where we welcomed dental laboratories on the first day and dental clinics on the second, creating a space dedicated to collaboration, dialogue, and practical digital education.
Hosted at Prodea in Oman and powered by the Straumann Group Digital Ecosystem, on January 23 and 24, the event focused on advanced planning and workflow optimization, addressing the real challenges faced daily by labs and clinicians navigating the digital transformation of dentistry.
We were honored to host two distinguished speakers: DT. Gonçalo Pinto and DT. Bashar Shdayda, whose expertise and approach turned complex digital concepts into clear, applicable solutions.
Day One: Empowering Dental Laboratories
The first day was dedicated to dental laboratories, with a strong focus on improving digital accuracy, understanding intraoral scanning techniques, and avoiding common errors that impact restorative outcomes.
Through in-depth sessions and hands-on demonstrations, participants explored smarter 3D planning workflows using coDiagnostix, gaining insights that can be directly applied to enhance lab–clinic collaboration.
The discussions were open, interactive, and rooted in real lab experiences — creating an environment where learning felt relevant, practical, and immediately valuable.
Day Two: Supporting Dental Clinics
The second day welcomed dental clinics, shifting the perspective toward clinical workflows, scanning optimization, and treatment planning from the clinician’s point of view.
Hands-on sessions allowed participants to experience how proper digital planning improves predictability, efficiency, and communication with laboratories.
Beyond the technical content, what stood out most was the quality of the conversations — questions asked, challenges shared, and solutions discussed openly among peers.
The event officially opened in the presence of Mr. Charbel Saad, marking a meaningful start to the lectures held at Prodea.
